New Year, New Resolution??

Salam..

Been a while.. How's 2010 so far? Great? O-kay? Same? Well, aside form the fact that I still sometimes wrote the date as '09, it's been quite uneventful. Boring stuffs aside, let's talk about resolution.

Well, actually I don't believe in New Year's resolution. Why must goals be set whenever another new year has dawned? Why not now? Next week? Next month? But I have to say, at least, I do support making resolutions, because it means that you have a goal that you would work on to achieve. That way, you won't waste too much time on thinking, "Hey, what am I gonna do today eyh??" or "Hmm, today's chores is done.. Now what?"

It's nice to have something to look forward to because it makes all the work done to get to that point, so much more meaningful.

I am not a cynic, nor am I an true optimist. In life, you must always remember that it's not all beds of roses. Even though perhaps, luckily, your life until now, have been practically a walk in the park, it doesn't hurt to take precaution from now, right? Because we never know what the future brings.. Isn't it logical that we prepare for whatever's coming?

=)

Oh well, the motivation to write this is that I'm tired of people thinking of a certain way about me. This is not about vanity, it's just plain facts. I did not like it when people think my life is so easy, that when I say I've got a problem, they would just brush it off thinking that it couldn't be much worse that what they've gone through.

Sometimes I focus on the trivial things, because I don't want to think on the heavy stuffs. I don't like it because it turns me into someone I did not like; moody, depressed, angry. I'd rather like to be someone who goes on everyday expecting some kind of an adventure would spring to life before me, some mysteries dying to be solved and laugh at the kaleidoscope of life in front of me.

The point is, never ever expect a life free of tangles of problems. It will not be so easy, and the stronger and better-prepared you are, the better. Money-wise, do have a savings plan. Just saving 10% of your monthly income would come a long way in insuring your future. Relationship-wise, never expect that things would be the same months or 10 years ahead. People change, some better, some not so much. Have faith in your other half, but never stop at working at it. Family-wise, as you've known those lovely people all your life, make room for mistakes, accept the imperfections, revel in the familiarity of it and treasure the time you have together. Career-wise, work hard, and please try to stay away from taking extra benefits while at it. It's running rampant nowadays, so much that it's a general knowledge and the ones who disapproves is the one shunned.

Live life, and live in the moment. And when troubles comes knocking on your door, square your shoulders and plough on. The world is not a nice place, but when you find those treasured people, keep them close, because they are hard to find and even harder to replace.

So sorry dear readers for the relative silence of this blog for weeks. I've been busy trying to make myself busy enough to make it worth the salary that I'm earning. Oh well, there's only so much reading that one could do anyway..

So, how's its been? As you'll probably realize, the month of August has been full with graduation ceremonies for a lot of universities in Malaysia. And guess what, mine is on the 16th which is this coming Sunday! And that is 5 days away.. Somehow, I just can't believe how fast time flies. It seems just like yesterday that I started as a first year student, with all the awkwardness of a new environment and a sea of unknown faces.

This four years have been great, considering all the fun and troubles I've gotten into and the things that I've learn along the way. After all, these experiences is what shapes you, right? And I don't know how much I've changed, but I know for sure that some aspects have changed for the better.

And the friends I've met and made has, no doubt, make the experience so much sweeter. So, congratulations girls!! You guys ROCK!! =)

The End of the Year, the Result and the Trip

Salam..

Seems like the closer we get to the year 2009, more and more people starts to reminisce back and recounting their 2008 experiences. Well, the truth is, I really think that time is moving so fast! And try as I might, I just couldn't recall everything from earlier this year. Nevertheless, there are some memories that I will treasure forever.. All the incidents that happened, all the scandals that we've made (hahaha.. Girls, you know what I mean..), in the end all it did was bring us all together, closer than ever..

It is kinda sad to think that this time next year, all of us could be going our own way. Some might continue on in the academic path and obtain higher degrees, and some of us might start working already. Those choices that have to be made, and paths to be chosen, I do hope that all turns out alright in the end.

Anyway, today is the day my last semester results is out. Actually, I had a sleepless night yesterday, thinking and worrying about things today. Alhamdulillah, it was okay. I was really hoping that the result would be able support my CGPA which by the way is on a downwards trend since the last few semesters. And fortunately, it did!

I am happy!!!

Hehe.. Couldn't resist to put that one up. Lol.. Still, it would have been nice if my Plant Design is higher coz we did work our --- off for it. After all, it was starting last semester that I started to warm up to the concept of staying up becoz before this my curfew is at the latest 12.00. Nevertheless, I am thankful for what I got, and even though hoping that it is better, what is done is done. There is no need to look back, rather than planning out for the future.

Oh well, labwork-wise, I am at the second stage of my work - bacteria identification. It has taken me two weeks already to deal with Gram staining but it is still not enough. And due to my trip starting tomorrow, I won't be continuing it this Friday.. Hehe..

Well, a girl gotta have her break, right?

About the trip, yep, I'll be going on a holiday starting tomorrow, taking advantage of the Christmas holiday and the weekend. Where am I going? Well, this time we're going to the North, namely the states Pulau Pinang, Kedah and Perlis. There are plans to visit Langkawi and Penang, while also diverging to Wang Kelian on the Thai-Perlis border. And if time allows it, we'll singgah at my Grandmum's house for a visit.

A Commencement of a Makeover...

Raya Post : Part II

Salam..

Haha.. The second post about Raya.. =) Actually, the reason I want to post this up is because its been AGES since I've uploaded the pics to Blogger n kept it in the drafts, but didn't have the time to blog about it.. So, as today I'm FINALLY free (read = finished my exams, don't be jealous k.....), I'm finally posting it up..

Anyway, the first batch of pictures were taken in Mid Valley during our impromptu buka puasa event during the busiest time of the week, Friday! Hehe.. I tell you, the commuter was packed!! It's worse than sardine can, cause those sardine can't breathe already, but we can, and oh my, the scents, the air, the attitudes of some people... Ugh, lucky it was fasting month and everyone kept an extra tight rein on their temper, or else, body parts would be flying!!!

Haha.. Suddenly 300 movie flashes come to mind.. LoL..

Well, back to the story, after surviving the eventful and 'refreshing' ride, we arrived at Mid Valley.. The plan was to bowl, then break fast, but alas, it was not meant to be.. After prayers, we head to the food section, and EAT, EAT, EAT!

Sorry, no pictures.. Didn't want y'all to see us stuffing ourself with food! =p .....Not! Hehe.. No la, us good girls have to eat with manners ait? LoL.. After eating, and drinking, and laughing, and talking, we move on to window shop.. Ye la, scholarship is almost bottom dry, no money to shop around.. =)

Next, is the raya celebration that I went to.. Hehe.. I did go to Miss W's house for her open house. An incident happen, and cause me to halfheartedly wave my $$ bye bye, but it was a great day nonetheless!

The food was great, the company even more so.. Hehe.. And that day marked the day that someone did something.. Quoting a friend of mine, You-Know-Who buat You-Know-What and We-All-Know-Who balas dengan We-All-Now-Know-What.. Haha.. Those who don't understand, better remain so yea, don't want you all to makan daging, even though the meat is usually great..

Haha.. Just ignore the previous paragraph, coz I know you don't understand.. Lol.. Anyway, safe to say that I bumped into Faizal's car, his got kemek'd and mine, just fine.. Very, very, very sorry dear ex-schoolmate!

Life Is Full of Contradictions...

Salam..

It has been a great day so far, and I hope that it will continue to be so. Thinking back to the years I've gone through, this life has been so full of everything, it's like a potpourri of life's experiences. I've been happy, I've been sad, I've felt confused, I've felt angry, I've felt cherished.... You get the drift.. =)

And as much as I hated feeling all those negative things, I know that as humans we will never be able to escape them. And I'd like to think that going through all those makes me stronger somehow; and this is thoroughly necessary coz human's experiences will always go from bad to worse as time goes by.

I'm not saying this coz I'm pessimistic; on the contrary I try to watch things on the brighter side.

Seeing the glass half-full rings a bell?

So, whatever life throws at you, take time to grieve@sulk@rebel, but always keep in mind that it won't always be so mundane and dreadful.

Be happy, and live life to the fullest!!

Sorry for not updating earlier.. I was stumped by a lot of things.. Two 'challenges' come and go, with the last one leaving me feeling a lot worse than the first. It's a trying days nowadays, and hopefully I can sail through without any more obstacles.

What I've Been Up To?

Just finished playing host to my uncle.. Haha.. Remember I told you about a cousin of mine who is getting married last week? Well, today the newlyweds come to visit relatives' houses, namely ours. Man, quite tired la.. ;-)

Still, it's quite funny to think a lot of weddings were held. Maybe it's because of the school holidays.. There's this :

At UPM.. At this one, I felt so guilty coz the bride's parents r good friends with my mum, so they told us to sit at the VIP table, but then when the groom's family arrived, erm, one word, awkward! =)

PS : About industrial training, right now we're close to about 70% of the whole project. Presentation on the first day (read : 23rd of June), my partner will finish a week earlier than me, then supposedly on 27th, will have to go to Damansara for an evaluation, 28th and 29th is resting time, and last week all to myself! Haha.. Must be quite boring at that time though.. Oh well, time to catch up with various animes and movies, and books, and games.. Hehe.. Looks like I won't be that bored after all.. Wish all of you the best in the remaining period yea.. Gambatte!

It's Mother's Day today!! Haha.. Happy Mother's Day mom! =) Me and my dad cooked dinner just now and mom just had to sit and eat. LoL.. Sorry, didn't take any pictures though, I was rushing here and there doing the vege and drinks. My dad made the steaks, while I'm in charge of the potato (as d complement to the steak), vegetable (had broccoli btw), mushroom soup and the gravy.. Haha.. Managed to finish everything under 1 and a half hours..

And now, I'm full up. Hehe.. And judging through my mom's wide smile, I know she's happy.

Anyway, had a really full day today.. Went to ITEX at KLCC Convention Centre (didn't manage to find mr hilman though...), bought a few books, a late lunch and rushes back to prepare d dinner. Will post bout ITEX later k, I'm off to rest for a bit and be ready for tomorrow.. There's a LOT to tell, and I'm glad to say I gain a lot from that visit. Still, let's save it for later yea...

Double Celebration

Salam..

As busy as I said I was, it’s never too busy to have a celebration, right? Well, this time, it’s for not one, but TWO of my friends.. Hence the title : Double Celebration..

Whose birthday is it? Well, lemme take to to a walk down memory lane…

1st Celebration – Mohamad Hilman bin Nordin

Coming from the same school, I must admit that back then I didn’t know him that well.. Even though our classes are right next to each other, sadly that is still the case.. We had english class together (at least, if I remember correctly, it was in Form 5) though, and that is when I knew he had a flair for writing..

Flash forward a year later, matriculation life begins.. And guess what, he is also at the same Matrix college.. KMM – Kolej Matrikulasi Melaka.. 1001 memories was built this time and this is where I truly felt that I belong.. Even though it was just a year long stint, still, those times were the best I ever had.. But one thing I remember is that I was involved in a somewhat-motivation-camp then done at Genting Highlands, where I realize once we got into the bus, that indeed, he was also going for it.. =) Kelakar kan bila ingat masa tu.. And when you asked to borrow my phone that day, I was shocked.. Hehe.. Yup, I still remember that incident.. Haha.. Yela, masa tu ingatkan ‘org tu’ dah tak ingat kat org kat sini.. So xdela tegur... After all, I was ‘pemalu’ back then, right??? Hehehe…

LoL.. Jangan marah k.. This is all in good humour.. Anyway, in university, I begin to notice the relationships between me and those back at Semashur time were slowly disintegrating.. Yes, a lot of my ex-schoolmates did get into UKM, but a big portion of them had chosen medical or health field, whose campus in in KL.. (Oh, and did you know I used to live in Bandar Tun Razak at the place where HUKM now lies???) As for me, 3 people were in my Faculty, Wan, Firdaus (pidod) and Faizal.. So, bit by bit, the familiarity (of myself la, I didn’t know about others) with those schoolmates of mine (other then those I mentioned earlier) vanishes.. So, it was a curious thing that these bonds seem to be renewed through the wonderful world of the internet..

It is through blogging that I renewed my friendship with Hilman.. Through his thoughtful writing, his creative (and double-edged) short stories, his own perspectives and drawings, I began to sort through the many layers that is Mohamad Hilman bin Nordin. And I know with the passing of time, all the things that people have gone through, will change them in the way they think, speak and express themself. Hehe.. This girl is another one whom I began to know through internet.. I knew of the existence of teddybearhijo when she was being discussed by mr kamal and mr hilman in their blogs..

It's funny to read through the previous posts, you know.. It feels like so long ago, but when I looked at the date, "Woah, just last year?? How time flies..."

Haha.. I must admit, at that time, even I was curious as to *who* this GreenTeddyBear is.. Then, she messaged me through Y!360 regarding kamal’s celebration. And this is the point where I began to know this girl.. If you went to her blog, for sure some would end up garu2 kepala, because our dear miss teddy is great at confusing us with her words.. (alamak, miss teddy kejar sambil bawak pisau.. warrgh!! Lari2.. Ugh, nasib baik dia buat bearwalk dulu, kalo x, mesti dia da dapat kejar..)

Sorry for the disturbance... Oook, not confusing la, but if you’re not accustomed to her style of writing, surely you’ll feel a bit lost.. Hehe.. But one thing for sure, what she writes, comes straight from her heart (at least, that’s what I think.. =) ) and it’s funny and sometimes emotional.. Another thing to add is that dis girl’s favourite words are, “update2!!”

But nowadays, ‘someone’ pulak yang dah ambil alih tugas itew.. ( Siapakah dia??? Jangan biarkan hidup anda diselubungi misteri.. Orang itu, tak lain tak bukan ialah …….. Ahaks, entahlah, beta pun tak tau.. Ada sesapa yang nak ke title ni? Bgtau eh.. =p )

Oh well, what I truly want to say is, “Happy Burfday, miss teddy!! Bila dah habis rehat puas2, UPDATE blog tau! Muahaha.. Sawang-sawang dah ada balik..”

Anyway, even though we never did meet in real life, I hope this friendship last.. And I’m so glad that you did *that* celebration for me.. Terharu! That day I wanted to make a speech ala2 gaya pemenang kat Oscar tu, tp sebab writer’s strike, tak jadi la pulak sebab skrip da hilang. LoL..

And this is something I made up (hehe.. more like, edited...). Sowy if it's so simple.. =) Working with MSPaint here.. LoL.. Photoshop xde.. (Kalau ada pun, xpandai pakai.. Hee..)
